Reports To: Regional Retail Manager Division: Corporate
The Royal Standard is currently developing restaurant, baked goods, and catering facilities inside existing retail locations. The Food and Beverage Manager position is a new full-time (40+ hours per week) position within our company and this position will manage the development and implementation of our food and beverage division across all locations. This person will work in conjunction with others during the development and implementation of the following: design of the restaurants, packaging of new products, menu and food selection. As these operations open for business, this position will report to the Regional Manager and will be responsible for the following: hiring and managing staff, as well as managing daily operations of food and beverage sales. This position coordinates with the staff of The Crown Bistro and the Event Coordinator to maintain high levels of customer service and quality control. For larger events at The Crown Bistro, this position serves as the point person for all aspects of event coordination.
Develop and implement the look and feel of future restaurants
Oversee the daily operations of all TRS food and beverage sales
Design food and beverage selections based on current target customer demographics
Identify customer needs and respond proactively to all concerns
Conduct surveys to identify customer requirements and take appropriate steps in ensuring client needs are met
Manage culinary market (TRS products & merchants) at all stores to have a well-rounded and profitable selection.
Create, test, and implement recipes for prepared entertaining/party foods to be sold in coolers at all locations, either cooking in TRS kitchen or sourcing local merchants to prepare product for TRS.
Hire and manage key staff at each location
Work with store managers on implementation and maintenance of culinary market, bistro, & events
Establish sales targets and develop strategies effective for achieving set targets, both within TRS and in conjunction with The Crown Bistro
Meet monthly sales goals and profitability
Work with local government to obtain required permits and licenses
Ensure compliance with all health/safety regulations and procedures
Make equipment recommendations and layout for our stores as well as overseeing equipment maintenance
Oversee the purchase and procurement of all necessary food, beverages, supplies and packaging.
Act as TRS representative for all events hosted in The Crown Bistro area.
Coordinate large scale events at The Crown Bistro, including event rentals, florals, photography, caterer, band, décor, etc.
Maintain accurate inventory of all food and culinary items
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management or Hospitality Management preferred
3-5 years professional food/beverage/hospitality management experience required
Ability to travel extensively to other locations
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer skills
Strong communication skills required
Creative and problem-solving attitude
Self-motivated and able to work independently
