The Royal Standard is Hiring an Event Server/Bartender!

The Royal Standard, a Louisiana owned retail/wholesale company, is seeking a Store Manager to oversee its new French Quarter store.  The company is a privately owned specialty retailer that specializes in selling gifts, fashion accessories, and home décor.  There are currently three locations in Louisiana that have been voted for multiple years as best Gift Store and Antique and Home Décor Store by 225 Magazine and The Times of Acadiana, as well as two fabulous locations in Gulf Shores, AL and Cypress, TX.

Job Summary:

This part-time position is responsible for effectively assisting food and beverage services and execution of events by way of set-up, service, clean-up, clear communication and teamwork while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence. This position coordinates with the Food and Beverage Manager, 

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism in accordance with dress code
• Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance
• Run food from the kitchen to event room
• Adhere to all applicable laws when serving alcohol
• Provide excellent food and beverage service for events
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
• Maintain positive and professional attitude
• Clean up kitchen and event space after event ends and assist with food storage and other closeout tasks

Qualifications:

• Carries a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor permit
• Professional and personable personality
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift 35lbs unassisted
• Available to work weekends and evenings
